The sixth track from KoY's second release 'The Gutter'
lyrics
In a world turned upside down,
torn apart flipped inside out,
power lines and oceans surge with,
a current charged with human doubt.
The wolves fill their glasses to the brim,
with blood sweat fear and many hymns,
then raise their glasses to the sky,
to toast their world of lies.
Stop the ride, and see we're better than this.
Please let us off and let our passions ensure we'll exist,
If you can't fathom human decency,
then pick a weapon, and blow yourself,
to smithereens.
I can see their faces, smirk at our demise,
a global social sickness,
grown inside mankind.
We don't get second chances, we have one life to live,
so surely human nature has something more to give.
Is our time up!
(Their the ones who run our lives, dictate our future. They fuel the wars, pollute our planet, and all for what? Money? Power? That's not real. You're the only thing that's real. So Wake Up!)
Safe in their pyramid strongholds,
built around them block by block.
If you don't have a problem,
then you can shut the fuck up,
We're up here you're down there,
you can't touch us you wouldn't dare,
we'll destroy everything you ever loved,
cos we don't care.
Stop the show, don't just accept how it is.
We're still evolving and growing and taking it in,
don't just stay home and lay awake in bed,
cos I won't take this lying down!
I can see their faces, smirk at our demise,
a global social sickness,
grown inside mankind.
When they look back at me,
it comes to their surprise,
to see no greed or jealousy,
only love in my eyes.
