The first track from KoY's second release 'The Gutter' EP
lyrics
There isn't too much difference between the kings we have today,
and the ones from our past centuries who made the peasant pay.
But instead of castles corporations,
instead of jokers T.V stations,
Instead of horses automation,
but still we slave for money.
I see it now, this world is slowing to a crawl,
We're beaten down and we can't take this anymore,
The ones who didn't listen,
will repent when they see,
these are the modern dark ages,
without the chivalry.
So now we're left here wondering,
why all this shit is happening,
when most of all us human beings,
have so much love to bring.
Cos cancer cures exist today,
and so does a free energy,
but they won't tell you on T.V,
they'll probably just call me crazy.
I see it now, this world is slowing to a crawl,
We're beaten down and we can't take this anymore,
The ones that didn't listen,
will repent when they see,
these are the modern dark ages,
without the chivalry.
I hope that when you see it,
You won't believe your eyes.
For the ones that don't believe shit,
this'll be a big surprise.
When the world comes crashing down then,
suddenly they'll realise,
they're the ones that should've listened,
and read between the headlines.
I see it now, this world is slowing to a crawl,
We're beaten down and we can't take this anymore,
The ones that didn't listen,
will repent when they see,
these are the modern dark ages,
without the chivalry.
